  • Group Classes

Group dance classes are a fun way for students to learn how to dance in a cooperative and entertaining manner. The group classes are ideal for picking up simple steps, learning basic techniques, and getting comfortable with the fundamentals of dancing. Although each class may focus on a particular style of dance, principles learned in one style can be applied in other styles. The monthly schedule is listed on the Calendar page. Click on the name of the dance to learn what the class is about. Read the special instructions to see when the class begins and if you can still register for it. Our classes range in length from 4 to 8 weeks. Students can pay as they go for single classes at $15. Most prefer to sign up in increments of either four-week classes for $50, six-week classes for $75, or 8-week classes for $95. For those students who take a lot of group classes, we offer unlimited groups for the whole month for $135.

    Price: 15.00 - single class, $50 - 4 groups, $75 -6 , $95- 8, $135 - Unlimited month

  • Private Lessons

Sometimes, you just need a little bit of extra help to master something taught in a group class. Private lessons are there to give the student focused attention on their specific needs and are adjusted to meet the abilities and interests of the individual or couple. Everyone is taught in a unique manner because no students needs are the same. Some private lessons can be easy going with suggestions being made along the way for good social dancing and others can be more intense for a dancer getting ready for a showcase or competition. The good thing about a private lesson is it is 100% focused on the person or the couple taking it. The teacher will focus on ways to improve the students dance standard, technique, style etc. Depending on the interests of the students, some private lessons can be easy going with suggestions being made along the way or can be intense for a dancer getting ready for a showcase or competition. Every lesson is different because each students needs are different. Private lessons are more expensive than group classes simply because they are one teacher with one or two students. For those who want to be social dancers, private lessons don't give you as good an opportunity to practice your leading and following skills as well as group classes do. We encourage students to take group classes in conjunction with the private lessons. Practicing in a group what is learned in a private lesson will accelerate the learning process and saves students time and money. Also taking group classes in between each private lesson accelerates the learning process, making the private even more valuable. This is why we suggest people take group classes in conjunction with your private lessons. By practicing what you've learned in your private lesson in the group, it accelerates your learning process saving you time and money. Some beginner students prefer having a few private lessons before taking group classes while other students may take private lessons in hand in hand with their groups. Privates are scheduled around the student and teachers’ availability.

  • Saturday Social

Each Saturday, the studio opens to the general public with a group class at 7:30 and general social dancing from 8-11pm. We welcome everyone from brand new to experienced dancers from studios far and wide. Dance socials allow you to practice what you’re learning in your group and private lessons in an environment where everyone is here to help. You will gain confidence in maneuvering around the floor and develop skills to help you in other social settings. You will meet, network, and socialize with other people in the area who share common personal and/or business interests. Light snacks are served and a cash bar is available for $15 for the evening.

  • Wedding Dance

The wedding dance can be a very special time for a couple properly prepared or it can be nerve wracking for a couple that simply sways back and forth. With YouTube populated with couples doing intricate routines to song mash-ups, thinking about the first dance can get pretty mind blowing. Our belief is that the first dance should not be a performance meant to entertain the crowd but, instead an example of how two people can move as one person on the dance floor. We suggest learning how to dance for more than just for the wedding dance song which is about 3 minutes long. Instead, take wedding dance lessons for your marriage. That is forever. Take the time to learn now and the rewards will last decades. It is actually easier to teach a couple how to dance than it is to teach them a particular dance. When couples give us at least 4 to 6 months before the wedding, we can have them enjoying the moment for what it is without thinking about what their feet are doing. When given enough time before the wedding, we encourage couples to take the Intro to Social Dance class as their first step in learning. After that, couples may take private lessons to work on their particular song and may take some group classes to cement what they have been practicing. We can make the wedding dance as simple or as complex as a couple is looking for. Our main goal is to have them enjoy the time spent together in learning something both will enjoy for years to come.
